Midwest Recycling

Have a recycling- and donation bin-related question? Midwest Recycling has the answer. Check out these FAQs and give us a call today for more information!

  • Where can I bring my donations to Midwest Recycling?

All donations are important to Midwest Recycling’s partners. You get to choose which organization should benefit from your donations. If you need assistance finding the bin for your chosen organization, we can help you locate it.

  • How do I arrange for the placement of a bin on my property?

In Midwest Recycling’s experience, being a host site is beneficial for businesses. Call us to set up a meeting with our professional and knowledgeable staff.

  • When I no longer want the bin on my property, how do I have it removed?

If you choose to have the Midwest Recycling bin removed, we’ll try to resolve any issues that have led to your decision. If you still want our bin removed, please provide us with a 30-day notice. We’ll remove the bin within that time frame.

  • I run a non-profit group. Do I qualify for customized donation bins?

Yes. As a professional fundraising venue for non-profit organizations, it is Midwest Recycling’s pleasure to work with you to design a collection bin or program for creating a revenue stream for collecting recyclable textiles.

  • Am I eligible for a receipt for a tax credit?

While your donations mean a lot to the partners who maintain and run their respective organizations, the items gathered via the bins don’t qualify as charitable donations. To get a receipt for tax credit, you should contact the organization directly. Be aware that some aren’t able to use the donated clothing.

  • How can I ensure that my charity of choice gets my donation directly?

If you have a donation for a specific charity to use explicitly, reach out to them directly. All of our partners are listed on the Midwest Recycling Partners page. Donations placed in our collection bins are a way to raise funds directly for that charity.

  • What types of items may be placed in the bins?

Acceptable donations include clothing, shoes, purses, curtains, textiles, and small household items.
