Why Midwest Recycling?
Founded in 2007, Midwest Recycling, Inc. is a worldwide distributor of used clothing and shoes for children and families in need. We specialize in the placement and maintenance of more than 600 collection bins. Our partnership with Greater Detroit and Southeast Michigan communities, businesses, public schools, houses of worship has been beneficial to local neighborhoods and more. Operations consist of sorting, grading, and packaging product. Midwest exports to a diversified customer base throughout countries on five continents: Africa, Asia, Europe, North America and South America.
Your donations are very important to all Midwest Recycling’s partners. Decide which organization you would like to help and find the collection bin nearest you.
Being a host-site brings many benefits for your business, including advertising with Midwest Recycling via our website or other printed material. We would like to keep business endeavors on a professional level, please call us to arrange a meeting with our knowledgeable staff at 248-802-0909.
If you come to a decision to remove a bin, we would like to first try and resolve any issues you may be encountering. However, if you are certain on your decision, we ask that you call with a 30-day notice, and we will have it out within that thirty day period.
Midwest Recycling is a professional fund-raising venue for your non-profit organization. It would be our pleasure to work with you to design a collection bin or program in which you can collect revenue for recyclable textiles.
Your donations are valuable to each partner for the maintaining and running of their organization. However, items gathered via these bins do not qualify as a charitable donation. If you are looking for a receipt for tax credit, we would suggest contacting the organization directly, although some are not able to use the clothing.
If you have a particular donation for a charity to use explicitly, please contact them directly. All Partners are listed on the “Partners” tab. Donations that are placed in our collection bins are a means for raising funds directly for that charity.
